50 years for Keim Lumber

It was reported that Keim Lumber Company in Charm had their highest amount ever in sales during their annual Anniversary Sale in April.  There was a 30% increase in customers and a 14% increase in sales compared to the 2008 Sale.  How is this possible with the economy in such poor health?

In this day and age it is really hard to find honest, hardworking, and genuinely nice people.  I have come to realize, however, that there is definitely no shortage in Holmes County, Ohio.  Having grown up in the area, I have been blessed with the peacefulness and beauty of my surroundings.  Like most businesses in the county, Keim Lumber Company in Charm is one of those places that you can’t seem to want to leave.

Maybe it’s the soft music you when you’re shopping or the great deals on the products, or maybe it’s the warm feeling you get from the cherry woodwork.  Personally, I think that it may be the quality service and the smiles that are cast in your direction as you walk through the store.  Did you know that smiles are contagious?  Smiling lightens the mood, relieves stress, and encourages others.  Maybe this is the reason for the record breaking Anniversary Sale they had in April of this year.

I guess a lot has changed in the past 50 years.  I am confident in saying that the one thing that has not changed in Holmes County, Ohio is the genuine kindness and courtesy that comes with a simple smile.
