Coblentz Chocolate Company’s third annual Tasting and Sampling Event was held on Friday, September 18 from 6:30-8:30 pm. With over 120 tickets sold, the event was a great success. Twenty minutes before the doors opened excited ticket holders began gathering on the front porch of Coblentz Chocolate Company in anticipation of the goodies awaiting them inside. Upon entering, each person was greeted by our staff and directed to a smorgas board of goodies for sampling. The samples included Milk Chocolates, Dark Chocolates, White Items, Candies, Nuts, Caramel Corns and Coffees. Many chose to begin their adventure in the production area where each person was invited to participate in candy and chocolate making activities. A tried and true activity, which is repeated yearly, is the Kid’s Kabobs table where skewers are filled with all kinds of gummy candies, pretzels and marshmallows. We see some fun and beautiful creations masterminded at this table! Another favorite activity at the Coblentz Tasting Event is Enrobing Chocolates. At the Enrobing station, insight on how our centers are coated with smooth milk chocolate is gained. This year the enrobing choices included Homemade Marshmallows, Coconut Bonbons, Oreo Cookies and Little Ones Pretzel Twists. The final activity was Fruit Kabobs which consisted of dipping skewers filled with Fresh Strawberries, Grapes, Blueberries, and Bananas in either milk or dark chocolate and then decorating them with Fresh Nuts, fun Fall Sprinkles and Toasted Coconut. As always each person was able to take home their chocolate and candy creations at no additional charge.
We enjoy hosting the Coblentz Tasting and Sampling Event. It is fun to watch people’s faces light up when they see pools of flowing chocolate and smell the inviting aromas as they enter our production area. We recognize many of the attendees as yearly participants and look forward to seeing them year after year at the event. The Coblentz Tasting and Sampling Event is held the third Friday in September from 6:30-8:30 pm. Tickets go on sale mid July. We post information about the event on the web at www.CoblentzChocolates.com and also on our Coblentz Chocolate Company Facebook page. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Coblentz Chocolate Company Tasting and Sampling Event! So Much Chocolate. So Little Time.
