We all know why ladies enjoy shopping in Ohio's Amish Country, but how do you convince your guy to go?
Let's talk about Lehman's. What started as a hardware store has expanded into an incredible space filled with antiques, garden tools, wood-burning cook stoves, and everything you need to know to live off the grid. If your guy is an outdoorsman, there's everything from beekeeping to camping to lawn care supplies. A trip to Lehman's in Kidron, Ohio will find you spending several hours wandering the store, marveling at all there is to offer.
For the mechanically inclined man or someone who appreciates quality workmanship, nothing compares with Homestead Furniture in Mt. Hope, Ohio. There is a one-room public school on site or you can take a guided tour for an in-depth look at Amish and Mennonites from their origins to the present day. The best part is Behalt, the 10-foot by 265-foot cyclorama painted by Heinz Gaugel. If your man is a history buff, this is a must-see!

The Cracklin' Pig boasts a variety of pork rinds and the Jerky Shack will take care of your midday snack attack while you shop!
If pork rinds and beef jerky aren't enough, swing by Heini's Cheese Chalet! If you visit during cheese-making hours, you can watch cheese being made through the observation windows at the back of the store. From some of the feedback we've seen, the Ohio-shaped cheese, summer sausage, and cheese fudge are a big hit with the guys!
